Bharat Electronics shares surged by 5.5% to a new all-time high of Rs 184.50 apiece after securing orders worth Rs 678 crore.
The company signed a Rs 445 crore contract with the UP government for the UP Dial 112 project, involving hardware, AI-based software, and cybersecurity solutions.
Bharat Electronics plans to utilize the domestic ecosystem, including MSMEs, for the execution of the Dial 112 project in Uttar Pradesh.
Additional orders of Rs 233 crore were received for communication display units, thermal imaging cameras, and miscellaneous spares and services.
Last week, orders worth Rs 2,673 crore were secured for supplying sensors to Goa Shipyard Limited and Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers.
On December 15, a significant agreement with the Ministry of Defence involved the acquisition of electronic fuzes for the Indian Army, with a 10-year investment totaling Rs 5,336.25 crore.
The cumulative orders in the ongoing financial year 2023–24 for Bharat Electronics Limited now stand at Rs 26,613 crore.
