On Tuesday, state-owned Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) announced that it has received orders totaling ₹847.84 Crore, including a large project from the finance ministry. The business received an order for ₹665.84 Crore (plus taxes) from the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), Ministry of Finance, to install and operate IT infrastructure.
‘The scope of the project is to supply, install, and maintain IT and networking infrastructure, field IT support, and centralised management and monitoring,’ BEL stated in a BSE filing. Maintenance support will be supplied for five years, including the implementation time.
‘This is one of the biggest civilian projects acquired on competitive basis by BEL during the current financial year,’ according to the statement.
BEL has also received orders totaling ₹182 Crore for various parts and services. With this, BEL has secured orders totaling ₹28,494 Crore in the current fiscal year.
