Zomato South Africa Proprietary (Pty) Ltd., a step-down subsidiary of Zomato Limited has been deregistered effective from January 3, 2022, vide disclosure certificate dated January 13, 2022, issued by the Commissioner of Companies & Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC), the company said in a filing on Thursday.
“Zomato SA didn’t have any active business operations. Zomato SA is not a material subsidiary of the Company and the closure of Zomaco SA will not affect the turnover/revenue of the Company,” the company had said after the process of deregistration was initiated in November 2021.
At around 9.36 am, Zomato Ltd was trading at Rs133.95 per share up by Rs0.9 or 0.68% from its previous closing of Rs133.05 per share on the BSE.
