Cyient, a global digital, engineering, and technology solutions company, has signed an MoU with the Centre of Excellence in Maritime and Shipbuilding (CEMS) to collaborate on skill enhancement training for students.
The partnership aims to create a skilled workforce in domains such as CAD, CAE PLM, and electrical system development to meet industry needs and play a key role in shaping the future of the Maritime Industry in India.
The Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways and Ayush, Sarbananda Sonowal, announced a Comprehensive Plan to Surpass 10,000 MTPA Port Capacity by 2047, with an investment opportunity of over Rs 10 lakh crores in the maritime sector and the potential to create more than 15 lakh employment opportunities.
The collaboration between CEMS and Cyient will facilitate the utilization of faculty expertise and industry insights to develop teaching/training systems, upgrade labs and technologies, and address industry needs.
This MoU bridges academia and industry, connecting individuals with job prospects and research opportunities, driving innovation in the modern industry landscape.
