Debasish Nanda joins Coal India as Director of Business Development

Coal India Limited informed that it has appointed Debasish Nanda as the Director of Business Development of the company, effective from July 11, 2022.

Previously, he worked for Indian Oil Corporation as Executive Director (Gas).

Nanda is a mechanical engineering graduate from UCE Burla, Sambalpur University, as well as a postgraduate in production engineering from REC Rourkela and a Masters in International Business from IIFT, New Delhi.

Nanda began his career with Indian Oil Corporation in 1988 as a Management Trainee in the Marketing Division, where he spent one year marketing Servo lubricants. In 1999, he joined the Business Development Group.

He has also held a variety of positions involving liaisons with the MoP&NG, the PNGRB, and other industry bodies.

At around 2.43 PM, Coal India was trading at Rs194.05 up by 0.1% from its previous closing of Rs193.85 on the BSE. The scrip hit intraday high and low of Rs196.20 and Rs193 respectively.
