Economic Buzz: Australias Unemployment Rate Rises To 3.5% in August

Australias seasonally adjusted unemployment rate increased to 3.5% in August this year, the Australian Bureau of Statistics revealed on September 15. The country previously registered its lowest unemployment rate of 3.4% in July this year. The total amount of unemployed people went up by 14,000 on a monthly basis and reached 487,700. The number of employed people rose by 0.2% or 33,500 compared with July, to 13,592,100 people, the report read.
