Financials stocks slide

Among the components of the S&P BSE Finance index, Arman Financial Services Ltd (down 7.46%), Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd (down 4.48%),ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Ltd (down 2.78%),HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd (down 2.44%),Max Financial Services Ltd (down 2.42%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Anand Rathi Wealth Ltd (down 2.4%), RBL Bank Ltd (down 2.35%), HDFC Bank Ltd (down 2.09%), Shriram Transport Finance Company Ltd (down 1.61%), and HDFC Asset Management Company Ltd (down 1.58%).

On the other hand, UTI Asset Management Company Ltd (up 5.28%), IIFL Wealth Management Ltd (up 5.18%), and Reliance Capital Ltd (up 4.97%) turned up.

At 13:52 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 204.5 or 0.36% at 57371.24.

The Nifty 50 index was up 78.65 points or 0.46% at 17252.3.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 249.64 points or 0.85% at 29473.45.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 70.98 points or 0.82% at 8746.48.

On BSE,2145 shares were trading in green, 1199 were trading in red and 125 were unchanged.
