GE Power India Limited has been awarded a substantial order worth Rs 440 crore from Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Ltd (GSECL). The contract includes design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, Packing & forwarding, installation, commissioning & PG Testing of an FGD (flue gas desulfurization) System.
The FGD system is crucial for reducing harmful emissions and promoting cleaner energy generation in the power industry. The order value includes an 18 % Goods and Services Tax (GST) component.
GE Power India received a Letter of Intent from GSECL, signaling the start of the project. The project is expected to be completed within 30 months from the date of the Letter of Intent, with a target completion date of January 2026.
