Goa Carbon's stock plunges ~4.5% on shutting down operations at Bilaspur unit

Goa Carbon Limited’s stock dipped ~4.5% in today’s trade as it announced shutting down of operations at its Bilaspur Unit.

The company has shut down its operations temporarily for the purpose of maintenance. The company further stated that the unit will be closed for operations from June 12, 2022.

The unit is located at 34-40, Sector B, Sirgitti Industrial Area, Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh).

However, the company has not informed the date of resuming the operations at the units.

Goa Carbon’s board has recently approved a dividend of Rs10 per share.

Goa Carbon’s stock was trading at Rs402.35, down by Rs18.70 against its previous close of Rs421.05 on NSE. It touched intraday high and low of Rs413, and Rs400.55 respectively so far.
