Hero MotoCorp, a manufacturer of two-wheelers, stated on Saturday that overall sales for March 2023 increased by 15% to 5,19,342 units from 4,50,154 units during the same period in the previous year.
Domestic sales increased by 21% last month to 5,02,730 units from 4,15,764 units in March 2022, according to a statement from Hero MotoCorp.
However, exports decreased from 34,390 units in the previous month to 16,612 units this month. The company sold 8% more units in 2022–2023—53,28,546—than in 2021–2022—49,44,150.
Domestic sales increased by 11% in the FY23 period to 51,55,793 units from 46,43,526 units in the FY22 period. According to the corporation, exports decreased from 3,00,624 units in FY22 to 1,72,753 units in FY23.
