Following an extensive audit conducted by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), SpiceJet operations, safety processes, and systems were found to be in good working order.
SpiceJet was the only scheduled Indian airline to participate in the ICAO audit, which was conducted under the Universal Safety Oversight Audit Programme (USOAP) Continuous Monitoring Approach.
SpiceJet’s safety systems audit assisted India in achieving its highest-ever safety ranking in an ICAO audit.
The ICAO Auditing Committee visited the SpiceJet Head Office, from which all SpiceJet flights are controlled, and the SpiceJet flight dispatch offices at Delhi Airport on November 14, 2022.
They audited and reviewed a variety of flight critical functions and operational areas, including flight planning, weather assessment, route planning, aircraft serviceability, operations to critical airports, pilot rostering systems, cabin safety procedures, and so on.
The ICAO audit is a safety benchmark.
Significantly, India’s effective implementation (EI) of primary aviation legislation and specific operating regulations is now reportedly 100%, up from 90.48% in 2018.
At around 1.34 PM, SpiceJet was trading at Rs39.70 up by 1.93% from its previous closing of Rs38.95 on the BSE. The scrip touched intraday high and low of Rs39.95 and Rs39.05 respectively.
