Indian Oil becomes MotoGP Bharat's title sponsor

18 Sep 2023 , 11:48 AM

The first-ever Indian Grand Prix will be contested at the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida from September 22 to 24, and Indian Oil, a major energy company in India, has agreed to serve as title sponsor.

42 teams and 84 riders will compete in the MotoGP, Moto2, and Moto3 categories at the MotoGP Bharat, which is being staged by Fair Street Sports in collaboration with Dorna Sports. Francesco Bagnaia, Marc Marquez, Marco Bezzecchi, Brad Binder, Jack Miller, and Jorge Martin are notable riders.

Pushkar Nath Srivastava, the founder and chief operating officer of Fair Street Sport, which is responsible for promoting MotoGP Bharat, commented on this significant alliance by saying, ‘We are happy to welcome Indian Oil as our title sponsor for MotoGP Bharat. This partnership with one of India’s energy titans adds to the excitement as we get ready for the nation’s largest racing event. This partnership demonstrates Indian Oil’s dedication to fostering sporting excellence in India, and we think it will hasten the development of motorbike racing there.

IndianOil is the top-ranked energy PSU in the country in the Fortune 500 of 2023, having built a footprint in nearly all of the country’s oil, gas, petrochemical, and alternative energy streams. The company has a long history of supporting many sports and competitions, and its partnership with MotoGPTM Bharat demonstrates its dedication to fostering a vibrant athletic culture in India.

According to Sponsor United’s ‘Motorsports Marketing Partnerships Report 2022-23,’ MotoGP agreements grew by an impressive 32% in 2022.

The addition of Indian Oil as the MotoGPTM Bharat’s title sponsor is another evidence of the burgeoning prospects for companies looking to build a position in this competitive sector.

MotoGP Bharat’s heart-pounding action will be shown exclusively on Sports18 and streamed live on Jio Cinema in India. On BookMyShow, fans may purchase tickets for the thrilling event.
