Indices Open with Marginal Decline in Pre-Opening Session

In the pre-opening session, benchmark indices are trading with a slight decline. The Sensex is down by 241.36 points or 0.36 percent at 66,979.77, while the Nifty has decreased by 77.90 points or 0.39 percent to 19,915.30.

During the previous trading session, the Nifty 50-stock index closed at 19,993.20, experiencing a minor decrease of 3.15 points or 0.02%, while the S&P BSE Sensex concluded at 67,221.13, marking a gain of 94.05 points or 0.14%. The NiftyBank, representing the banking sector, settled at 45,511.35, with a slight decline of 59.35 points or 0.13%.

After seven consecutive sessions of gains, the market appears to be showing signs of cooling off. The recent session featured volatility in early trades but eventually became range-bound.
