IRCTC reduces frequency of ADI Tejas express starting today till February 10 amid Covid surge; Stock dives

Due to the recent surge in Covid cases, the Indian Railways catering service provider IRCTC has decided to reduce the frequency of ADI Tejas express.

As per the regulatory filing, IRCTC  has decided to reduce the frequency of train no 82902/82901 ADI – MMCT – ADI Tejas express from present 5 days a week to 3 Days a week.

This has come into effect from Wednesday (January 12, 2022) to February 10, 2022. The train shall not operate
on Wednesday and Monday in each week.

The train is planned to continue running 5 days a week as per the present schedule with effect from February 11, 2022.

At around 1.58 pm, IRCTC was trading at Rs857 per piece down 0.6% on Sensex. The stock has touched an intraday high and low of Rs868.55 per piece and Rs848 per piece respectively.
