ITC to Invest Rs 1,500 Crore in Madhya Pradesh for Food and Packaging Facilities

ITC announces investments totaling approximately Rs 1,500 crore in Sehore, Madhya Pradesh. Two projects spanning nearly 57 acres will bolster the state’s agricultural and manufacturing sectors. The investments are expected to create livelihood opportunities across sustainable value chains.

A food manufacturing facility will produce ITC’s products, including Aashirvaad atta, Sunfeast biscuits, and ‘YiPPee!’ noodles. A moulded fiber products unit will pioneer sustainable packaging solutions, reducing plastic usage in various sectors.

ITC believes the investment in Sehore will enhance the state’s manufacturing sector and support inclusive agri-value chains. Chairman Sanjiv Puri emphasizes ITC’s commitment to socio-economic development and sustainability. The projects will adhere to IGBC green building Platinum standards, promoting eco-friendliness.

The foundation laying ceremony was attended by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. ITC maintains a significant presence in the state, with seven co-manufacturing units supporting local entrepreneurship.
