Jindal Steel and Power (JSP) has signed an agreement with Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) to operate RINL’s Blast Furnace-3 (BF-3). The furnace, which is scheduled to be operational on December 30, 2023, would increase monthly production by 2 lakh tonnes of Hot Metal.
The collaboration with RINL will provide extra liquid steel for slab casting and subsequent rolling into Hot Rolled Coils from JSP’s soon-to-be-commissioned state-of-the-art Hot Strip Mill at Angul.

At around 2.59 PM, Jindal Steel was trading 0.59% higher at Rs 730.70, against the previous close of Rs 726.40 on NSE. The counter touched an intraday high and low of Rs 739.15 and Rs 727, respectively.
