Jindal Steel & Power Ltd Slides 13.43%, S&P BSE Metal index Shed 8.22%

Jindal Steel & Power Ltd fell 13.43% today to trade at Rs 414.6. The S&P BSE Metal index is down 8.22% to quote at 17677.1. The index is down 20.72 % over last one month. Among the other constituents of the index, Tata Steel Ltd decreased 12.41% and Steel Authority of India Ltd lost 11.57% on the day. The S&P BSE Metal index went down 5.17 % over last one year compared to the 7.51% surge in benchmark SENSEX. Jindal Steel & Power Ltd has lost 22.81% over last one month compared to 20.72% fall in S&P BSE Metal index and 5.01% drop in the SENSEX. On the BSE, 1.09 lakh shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 3.92 lakh shares in the past one month. The stock hit a record high of Rs 577.7 on 11 Apr 2022.
