JSW Steel reported the highest-ever standalone Crude Steel production in January 2023, at 18.91 lakh tonnes, a 15% year-on-year increase. During January 2022, the company logged production of 16.46 lakh tonnes.
Because of the significant improvement in capacity ramp-up in the recently commissioned expansion project at Dolvi works, overall capacity utilization increased to 99% in January 2023 from 96% in December 2022, said the company in its media release.
The company’s rolled products (flat) production stood at 14.24 lakh tonnes in January 2023, as against 12.47 lakh tonnes in January 2022, registering growth of 14% yoy.
Standalone production of rolled products (long) was 4.25 lakh tonnes in January 2023, up by 14% yoy against 3.74 lakh tonnes in the same month previous year.
