The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) has added four prominent stocks to the F&O ban list due to a breach of market-wide position limits. The affected stocks are Delta Corp, Indiabulls Housing Finance, RBL Bank, and Manappuram Finance.
The NSE updates the F&O ban list every trading day, and this latest inclusion is aimed at maintaining market integrity and safeguarding investors’ interests. The derivative contracts of the four securities have crossed 95 % of the market-wide position limit, leading to the ban period for trading, as stated by the NSE.
During the ban period, traders and members are strictly prohibited from taking fresh positions in the F&O contracts of the affected stocks. However, clients and members can still trade in derivative contracts to reduce their existing positions through offsetting trades.
