July 26: NSE Bans Five Stocks from F&O Trading

26 Jul 2023 , 10:18 AM

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) imposed a ban on five stocks under the F&O segment for trade on July 26, 2023. The ban was triggered as these stocks crossed 95% of the market-wide position limit (MWPL), according to NSE regulations.

The affected stocks are Canara Bank, Delta Corp, Indiabulls Housing Finance, RBL Bank, and Sun TV Network Limited.

Despite the F&O ban, these stocks will still be available for trading in the cash market.

NSE regularly updates the list of securities under the F&O ban on a daily basis. Derivative contracts related to these stocks have exceeded the 95% market-wide position limit, leading to their inclusion in the ban period.

Any attempts to increase open positions during the ban period may result in penal and disciplinary action. No fresh positions will be allowed for any F&O contracts of these stocks during the ban period imposed by NSE.
