Krishan Pal Gurjar: Power Plant flexibilisation and Industry 4.0 implementation vital to enhance power generation with accent on reducing carbon emissions

Recently BHEL organized the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, where the Minister of State for Power & Heavy Industries Krishan Pal Gurjar inaugurated a webinar on ’Power Plant Flexibilisation — A Key to Grid Stability’ and ‘Industry 4.0 — Success with Smart Solutions’.

The webinar was inaugurated by Video Conferencing, graced, and taken forward by the BHEL’s senior officials. The event was joined by over 800 participants that logged on through the portal, while several others watched the program through webcast mode.

Addressing the occasion, the Minister said that the BHEL is working towards the progress of the nation by providing robust engineering systems in the power & industrial sectors, including services and products. He mentioned that “power plant flexibilisation and implementation of Industry 4.0 are important for enhancing power generation with the accent on reducing carbon emissions and said that he was glad to know that BHEL has already started offering solutions in the areas of power plant flexibilisation and Industry 4.0 to customers.”

Dr. Nalin Shinghal, CMD, BHEL while addressing the participants mentioned that BHEL has made excellent efforts towards meeting the infrastructural needs of the nation, and brought reference to other countable developments taken up.

Sh. K.V.S. Baba, CMD, POSOCO; Mr. Sami Riekkola, President of Valmet Automation, Finland and Sh. B.C. Mallick Chief Engineer, CEA, besides other eminent speakers from NTPC, Valmet Automation, Steag, IESA, IIT-Chennai, and BHEL, also addressed the participants and provided their engaging contribution.

BHEL scrip opened at Rs 61.90 against the previous closing price of Rs 61.90, and is currently trading at Rs 61.55 (.57% down since its opening). it has touched a high and low of Rs62.60 and Rs61.25 respectively
