L-;T Technology Services strives to achieve carbon and water neutrality by 2030

L&T Technology Services presents its first sustainability report for the year 2020-21 along with a roadmap to achieve carbon and water neutrality by 2030.

LTTS’ Sustainability report comprises its various ESG initiatives which are built on the pillars of accountability, transparency, responsibility, trust, and compliance, to carry forward an ethically progressive and reliable business model, strong enough to meet emerging challenges. The report highlights LTTS’ sustainability efforts across its key elements for fiscal 2020-21.

LTTS has recognized Sustainability as one of its six ‘Big Bets” in emerging technology areas and one that stay ahead of other 5 big bets namely, AI& Digital Products, Electric Autonomous and Commercial Vehicles (EACV), 5G, MedTech, and Digital Manufacturing. LTTS’ Sustainability Practice is developing engineering services-based innovative digital solutions that are in sync with the customers’ sustainability roadmap.

Speaking on the report, Amit Chadha, CEO and Managing Director at L&T Technology Services said, “LTTS’ vision on sustainability is to have organizational level involvement to better realize the goals for our global customers with our distinct pure-play engineering services proposition. This approach also led us to restate our vision as ‘Engineering a sustainable tomorrow through technology and innovation’. We remain confident that LTTS will play an important role in accelerating our customers’ transformation to a net-zero future.’

LTTS has embraced net-zero as a core sustainability focus and will leverage its deep capabilities around energy transition and management, water and waste management, circular product design, digital intervention, sustainability consulting, and climate action for realizing this aspiration.

L&T Technology Services is currently trading at Rs4,774.35 up by Rs38.3 or 0.81% from its previous closing of Rs4,736.05 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs4,775 and has touched a high and low of Rs4,792 and Rs4,741 respectively.
