L&T Construction’s Transportation Infrastructure business wins a contract to build a bridge linking Dahisar and Bhayander in Mumbai. Awarded by the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM), the bridge aims to reduce travel time significantly, currently at 45 minutes.
The 4.5 km link will have two separate carriageways and multi-level interchanges at Dahisar and Bhayander for smooth entry and exit. The project, classified as ‘Large’ by L&T, falls within the construction value range of Rs 2,500 crore to Rs 5,000 crore.
L&T is actively involved in multiple major projects in Mumbai, including the Coastal Road projects and a substantial underground road tunnel project.
