On July 25, the benchmark indices concluded the volatile session with marginal changes, ending on a relatively stable note.
Within the Nifty, notable gainers were Hindalco Industries, JSW Steel, Tata Steel, NTPC, and Adani Ports. Conversely, Asian Paints, ITC, Britannia Industries, IndusInd Bank, and Larsen and Toubro were among the top losers.
In a volatile trading session, the Sensex concluded marginally lower, while the Nifty managed to stay above the 19,650 mark. JSW Steel performed well, gaining 3%, while Asian Paints faced a significant decline, tanking 4% in value.
During the session, the metal and power sectors demonstrated strength, each advancing by 2%. However, the PSU bank, capital goods, FMCG, and realty sectors experienced a slight decline, with a decrease of 0.5 to 1%.
In the broader market, both the BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices recorded a modest rise of 0.4% each.
