Indian equity markets ended the day in red today due to profit-booking, after Friday’s rally. Nifty 50 ended, down by 89.45 points. Senex ended, down by 334.98 points. Top Gainers today were Adani Ports, IndusInd Bank, BPCL. Top Losers today were Divi’s Lab, JSW Steel, Hindalco.
Many large cap stocks saw selling pressure. Many mid cap and small cap stocks saw good buying demand. Metal stocks saw heavy selling pressure today. Some FMCG and media stocks saw buying demand.
Idea, Yes Bank, and PNB were the most traded stocks today at NSE, in terms of volume. Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports and Reliance were the most traded stocks today in terms of value. 40 stocks touched new 52-week high today at NSE. 115 stocks touched new 52-week low. This indicates that market breadth was negative today.
