Indian stock markets ended the day with marginal gains amidst high volatility in the global markets. Nifty 50 closed 26 points higher. Sensex ended marginally up with 3 points.
In today’s trade markets were trading with restricted gains as after last week’s consolidation no fresh triggers were seen. Further, even the news out of Russia hardly impacted the markets. On the sectoral front, Nifty Auto, Pharma, and Metal packs were the biggest gainers today.
Cipla, Adani Enterprises, Hero MotoCorp, Tata Consumer, and UPL were the top gainers in today’s session. Power Grid, TCS, Reliance, NTPC, and Coal India were the top losers.
In terms of value, the top stocks were Adani Enterprises, Reliance, HDFC Bank, HDFC, and ICICI Bank. In terms of volume, most active stocks were Tata Steel, ICICI Bank, SBI, HDFC Bank, and Adani Enterprises.
A total of 63 stocks touched their new 52-week high in today’s trade, while 16 stocks touched 52-week lows.
