Indian benchmark indices may start today’s session with positive numbers after a volatile trading session yesterday. On Tuesday, markets closed in green. BSE Sensex closed 229 points higher at 71,336. NSE Nifty ended 92 points higher at 21,441.
On the global front, US Markets closed in a cheery mood amidst the holiday season. Dow Jones closed 159 points higher at 37,545. Nasdaq Composite index ended with a gain of 82 points. S&P 500 ended 20 points higher.
Asian peers are trading majorly in gains tracking the global positive cues. Chinese Shanghai Composite is trading 0.35% higher. Japan’s Nikkei 225 closed 1.06% higher. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading with a gain of 1.53%. South Korean Kospi index is trading 0.17% lower. Taiwan index is higher by 0.57%.
Divis Lab, Hero MotoCorp, Adani Enterprises, NTPC, and ONGC emerged as the biggest gainers in previous session. Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv, Infosys, TCS, and Tata Motors were the top losers.
Oil prices dipped in early Asian trade on Wednesday, erasing big gains from the previous session as major shipping corporations began returning to the Red Sea even after continuing attacks and growing tensions in the Middle East.
