However, the companys total production rose 5.15% as against 1,61,383 units produced in January 2022.
While the production of passenger vehicles fell 0.07% to 1,65,672 units, production of light commercial vehicles jumped 67.71% to 4,020 units in February 2022 over February 2020.
The company stated that, The shortage of electronic components had a minor impact on the production of vehicles during the month.
Maruti Suzuki India recorded 48% decline in net profit to Rs 1,011.3 crore as net sales remained flat at Rs 22,187.6 crore in Q3 FY22 over Q3 FY21.
The car major recorded a total sales of 1,64,056 units in February 2022, down 0.25% as against 1,64,469 units sold in February 2021. While domestic sales fell by 8.46% to 1,40,035 units, exports jumped 109.13% to 24,021 units in February 2022 over February 2021.
