On Tuesday, Boeing India said that it will evaluate Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited (MIDHANI) and work with it to create raw materials for common aerospace parts and components in India.
According to a news release from Boeing, developing a self-sufficient aerospace and defense industry in India depends on the local availability of specialized aerospace materials and alloys.
The statement stated that the first step in safeguarding the supply chain and keeping with the NDA government’s goal of Aatmanirbhar Bharat is the availability of crucial aeronautical materials.
“In India, a significant portion of Boeing’s supply chain is made up of public sector organizations. Boeing’s supply base will be strengthened thanks to the possible partnership with MIDHANI, which will also expand India’s possibilities for procuring materials “Boeing India President Salil Gupte told ET.
“We are thrilled about the possibility of collaborating with Boeing on aircraft sector raw materials. This is in line with our ambitions to work with multinational organizations and businesses to improve our capacity to produce cutting-edge technological products here in India “said MIDHANI chairman and managing director Sanjay Kumar Jha to ET.
According to a press statement, Boeing has long supported the growth of India’s domestic aerospace and defence industries and has over the years engaged in relationships with the country’s aerospace industry in the areas of production, research and development, and talent development.
