The National Common Mobility Card, which is supported by RuPay and was introduced by the State Bank of India on Thursday, will make it easier to pay for various types of transit across the nation, including parking, rail, water and roads. The card might also be applied to retail transactions.
According to Dinesh Kumar Khara, chairman of State Bank of India, ‘The Nation First Transit Card powered by RuPay and National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) technology, is poised to transform the commuter experience and is in line with the national vision of One Nation One Card. At the 2023 Global Fintech Fest, the card was introduced.
