Nazara's Nodwin Gaming Division Acquires Comic Con India in a Rs 55 Crore Deal

On Wednesday, Nazara Technologies, a gaming company, announced that Comic Con India would be acquired by its Nodwin Gaming division.

‘As part of this deal, Comic Con India’s founders, Karan Kalra and Jatin Varma, will exchange their shares for cash and Nodwin Gaming will purchase all of Comic Con India’s shares at a valuation of Rs 55 crore. In a statement to bourses, Nazara stated, ‘They will continue and remain to operate the business as part of Nodwin Gaming.’

‘We have worked tirelessly for more than ten years to build a unique space in India for promoting and celebrating popular culture,’ stated Jatin Varma, the creator of Comic Con India. 

And with that objective in mind, I’m thrilled to work with Nodwin Gaming to take this ambition a step further and make it a reality.

Established in 2011, Comic Con India is a festival organizer that hosts events all over India honouring elements of popular culture such as comic books, cosplay, video games, TV series, merchandise, and more.

In India, the festivals—which take place in places like New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai—have gained a lot of popularity.
