In October, Tata Motors sold 82,954 cars, up 5.89% from 78,335 sold in the same month the previous year, the company announced on Wednesday. According to the company’s regulatory filing, of these, domestic sales increased 6% year over year to 80,825 units from 76,537 units sold in October 2022.
According to the firm, sales of passenger vehicles, including electric vehicles, in the domestic market were 48,337, up 7% from 45,217 units during the same period last year.
Tata Motors reported a 28% increase in sales of electric passenger vehicles for the current month, with a total of 5,465 units sold in both domestic and international markets, up from 4,277 units in the same month last year.
It further stated that Tata Motors’ total sales of commercial vehicles increased by 4% in October to 34,317 units from 32,912 units a year earlier.
According to the business, total sales for MH&ICV Domestic & International Business, comprising trucks and buses, were 16,048 units in October 2023 as opposed to 13,940 units in October 2022.
