7 Sep 2023 , 12:45 PM

On September 7, PVR INOX shares saw a 1% increase, reaching Rs 1,840.2 in the morning trade. The surge in share price coincided with the release of the Shah Rukh Khan starrer film ‘Jawan’ in theaters.

The film is produced by Gauri Khan and Gaurav Verma under Red Chillies Entertainment. Multiplex occupancy rates are projected to approach pre-pandemic levels, potentially hitting 32 % for the merged company.

This resurgence in foot traffic is expected to result in a 31 % growth in net Hindi Box Office revenue compared to the pre-Covid period. The release of ‘Jawan’ and the optimistic outlook for the Hindi film industry have investors and cinema enthusiasts eagerly awaiting a successful movie season.
