PVR opens new multiplex in Yamuna Nagar

PVR Cinemas, India’s largest cinema exhibition company, announced today the opening of its first multiplex in Yamuna Nagar, Haryana, at City Mall. The new 3-screen cinema is part of the company’s expansion plans to open 110-125 screens in the current fiscal year.

With this launch, PVR Cinemas expanded its presence in Haryana to 42 screens in 11 properties and 278 screens in 63 properties in the North.

The new property, located in the heart of the city, has a total seating capacity of 590 people, and the last row of each auditorium is equipped with plush recliner seats for maximum comfort.

The 3-screen property is outfitted with cutting-edge cinematic technologies such as 2K projectors, Next-Gen 3D screens, and Dolby 7.1 sound to provide an unparalleled captivating, and immersive experience.

Seating areas are specially designed with video walls to provide a dynamic experience to moviegoers, and the wooden finish foyer ceiling with chandeliers adds to the beauty of the property. A variety of gourmet delicacies served in the luxury of comfortable recliners adds to the property’s unique offerings.

With this addition, PVR’s growth momentum in FY 2022-23 is strengthened, with 884 screens at 178 properties in 77 cities (India and Sri Lanka).

At around 1.54 PM, PVR Limited was trasding at Rs1,892.75 apiece, down by 0.36% from its previous closing of Rs1,899.50 on the BSE. The scrip touched intraday high and low of Rs1,914 and Rs1,873 respectively.
