Among the constituents, Hindustan Copper Ltd jumped 6.63%, Adani Enterprises Ltd rose 3.47% and Jindal Stainless Ltd gained 2.96%. The Nifty Metal index has decreased 3.00% over last one year compared to the 7.93% spike in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Private Bank index increased 1.23% and Nifty Energy index gained 1.17% on the day.
