The Honourable Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy has inaugurated
The Ramco Cements Ltd’s 5th Integrated Cement Plant at Kolumigundla, Kurnool District, Andhra Pradesh on September 28, 2022.
Accordingly, the plant has a clinkerisation capacity of 2.25 million tonnes per annum. The project cost of the plant is Rs3,000 crore.
To ensure operational efficiency and pollution free environment, the Plant is equipped with state-of-the- art facilities, like:

Near-Infrared (NIR) Based online analyzer for limestone pile formation.

Energy efficient grinding systems.

Closed storage sheds for storing all the raw materials.

Closed RCC silos with nuisance bagfilters at appropriate locations to avoid dust emissions in storing intermediate products and finished goods.

Water sprinkling system to contain fugitive dust.
The Plant is capable of manufacturing various types of cement as per BIS specifications. The cement manufactured from this plant will be marketed in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, North Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.
Commitment to Green Power:
The Plant has been provided with Waste Heat Recovery System (WHRS). The system captures the waste heat available from the preheater exhaust gas and the clinker cooler exhaust gas of cement kiln and the heat is used to generate electrical energy, by adopting technologies which are latest in the industry.
The capacity of the WHRS is 12.15 MW, out of which, 6 MW would be commissioned in October 2022 and the balance in 2023. The WHRS demonstrates the Company’s responsibility towards ESG.
The Project also contains the following infrastructure, which are expected to be commissioned in 2023-24.

Railway Siding of 34.936 Run Kms to provide flexibility in logistics.
