The re-appointment of P N Vasudevan as MD & CEO of Equitas Small Finance Bank has received permission from the Reserve Bank of India.
The bank announced in a BSE filing that Vasudevan has been re-appointed for a term of three years beginning July 23, 2023.
On July 22, 2023, Vasudevan’s present tenure as MD & CEO comes to an end. In May of this year, he had declared his decision to resign so that he could devote his attention to social welfare through his public charitable foundation.
The creator of Equitas, Vasudevan, has been involved with the company’s development as a microfinance organization since 2007. Under his direction, the organization was transformed into a bank in 2016.
