Reliance Industries gains 1% after board approves issuance of notes worth $5B

The Finance Committee of the Board of Directors of Reliance Industries Limited on January 1, 2022, approved the proposal for issuance of senior unsecured US$ denominated fixed-rate notes from time to time, for an aggregate amount up to US$ 5 billion (Notes), in one or more tranches.

The proceeds from the issuance of the Notes will be utilized primarily for refinancing of existing borrowings, in accordance with the applicable law, the company said in a filing.

At around 11.46 am, Reliance Industries Ltd was trading at Rs2,390.95 per share up by Rs22.8 or 0.96% from its previous closing of Rs2,368.15 per share on the BSE.
