Jio expands its True 5G service footprint in Tamil Nadu by launching in six key cities: Coimbatore, Madurai, Tiruchirappalli, Salem, Hosur, and Vellore. This brings the total number of Jio True 5G cities to 101 across the country.
Thiru T. Mano Thangaraj, the Honourable Minister for Information Technology and Digital Services, announced the launch today in Coimbatore, in the presence of Neeraj Mittal, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Information Technology and Digital Services Department, TN Govt.
Through the Jio Community Clinic medical kit and the revolutionary AR-VR device, Jio Glass, Jio demonstrated the immersive benefits of 5G in the field of healthcare. These advantages will have a profound impact on the lives of Tamil Nadu residents.
Jio has invested over Rs40,000 crore in the deployment of the 5G network in Tamil Nadu, directly and indirectly employing nearly 1 lakh people. This demonstrates our dedication to the state, said the company in its media release.
Starting today, Jio users in the aforementioned cities of Tamil Nadu will be invited to the Jio Welcome Offer, which includes unlimited data at speeds of up to 1 Gbps+ at no extra cost.
