SAIL appoints Anil Kumar Tulsiani as Director on Board; stock tumbles ~4%

Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has appointed Anil Kumar Tulsiani, an Executive Director, as a director on the board of the company. His appointment shall be effective from June 20, 2022.

Tulsiani is a seasoned finance professional who joined SAIL at the Durgapur Steel Plant in 1988. He has about 34 years of diverse and comprehensive expertise in a variety of financial and accounting-related fields. He has worked at many SAIL Plants& Units over the course of his employment, including the Raw Materials Division (RMD), Durgapur Steel Plant (DSP), central Marketing organization (cMo), and Corporate Office (CO).

Shri Tulsiani holds degrees in business administration, cost and management accounting, and CMA (Finance). In the CMA Course Final Examination held by the then-Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India (now known as ICAI), he held the 15th highest overall ranking.

At around 2.15 PM, SAIL’s counter was trading at Rs66.40 down by Rs2.4 or 3.49% from its previous closing of Rs68.80 on the BSE. The scrip touched intraday high and low of Rs67.95 and Rs65.15 respectively.
