SEBI looks for information on unclaimed non-convertible securities, by 15th September

The authority on capital markets, Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), requested on Tuesday that all companies with listed non-convertible securities submit data by September 15 regarding unclaimed redemption and dividend sums.

According to public notice, information has been requested from all entities that do not meet the definition of “company” under the Companies Act but had listed non-convertible securities, such as perpetual debt instruments, non-convertible redeemable preference shares, non-convertible debt securities, and perpetual non-cumulative preference shares.

Additionally, people with unclaimed interest, dividend, principle, and redemption amounts on such securities as of August 31 have been asked for information.

The entities must provide information regarding the issuer’s name, ISIN, unclaimed dividend or interest funds, principle, redemption date, and the amount held in escrow or other accounts as of August 31.

Securities including stocks, bonds, warrants, and commercial papers are all uniquely identified by the 12-character International Securities Identification Number (ISIN).

SEBI stated that the information must be filed no later than September 15.
