Sensex and Nifty in Green on May 21, 2025

The Indian Benchmark Index Sensex and Nifty trading in green on May 21 2025. At 2:00 pm, Sensex is trading at 81,465 (0.34%), a 278 points gain over the previous close. Nifty is trading at 24,772 (0.32%), a 78 Point gain from the last close.  In the National Stock Exchange, 1406 shares advanced and 1121 stocks declined. In Nifty 50, 30 stocks are trading in green, and 20 stocks are trading in red.

In Sensex, Tata Steel, Tech Mahindra, Bajaj Finserv, Bajaj Finance are the top gainers. Top losers in Sensex include IndusInd Bank, Kotak Mahindra, Adani Ports, UltraTech Cements. 

In Nifty Bharat Elec, Cipla, Tata Steel, Tech Mahindra are the top gainers. Top losers in Nifty include IndusInd Bank, JSW Steel, Kotak Mahindra, Trent. Bharat Elec is the only stock to hits 52-week high in Nifty. In the broader market, the BSE Midcap index trades at a 0.59% gain, whereas the BSE Small cap Index trades at a 0.16% gain to the previous close.
