Sensex and Nifty in Red on May 20, 2025

The Indian Benchmark Index Sensex and Nifty trading in red on May 20, 2025. At 1:55 pm, Sensex is trading at 81,433 (-0.76%), a 625 points dip over the previous close. Nifty is trading at 24,772 (-0.69%), a 171 point dip from the last close.  In the National Stock Exchange, 878 shares advanced and 1697 stocks declined. In Nifty 50, 10 stocks are trading in green, and 40 stocks are trading in red.

In Sensex, Tata Steel, IndusInd Bank, Infosys, ITC are the top gainers. Top losers in Sensex include Eternal, Maruti Suzuki, M&M, Power Grid Corp.  In Nifty, Coal India, Bharat Elec, ONGC, Tata Steel are the top gainers. Top losers in Nifty include Eternal, hero Motocorp, Bajaj Auto, Maruti Suzuki.  In the broader market, the BSE Midcap index trades at a 0.97% dip, whereas the BSE Smallcap Index trades at a 0.39% dip to the previous close.
