At the time of writing Sensex traded at ₹71,680, up by 0.76%, and Nifty at ₹ 21,691, up by 0.79% compared to the previous close.
Top gainers: Voltas (6.65%), Atul (4.93%), Sun Pharma (4.34%), Dr. Reddy’s Labs (4.35%). Top losers: Larsen (-3.66%), Astral Ltd (-2.67%), Chola Invest (-2.72%), Indus Towers (-2.17%).
Ambuja Cements reported a 39% growth in standalone net profit at ₹514 crore for the quarter ending December.
Nova Agritech shares debuted on exchanges with a 36.6% premium. The stock opened at ₹56 on BSE compared to the issue price of ₹41, and it opened at ₹55, up 34% on NSE.
