SJVN on Friday announced that it bagged its first 30 mega watt Wind-Solar Hybrid project through a tender floated by SECI. The project was obtained at Rs 2.54 per unit on build, own and operate basis in the tariff based competitive bidding process. The tentative cost for construction and development of the project is Rs 195 crores and the project is expected to generate 79 mega units in the first year and on cumulative basis approximately 1,860 mega units would be generated over a period of 25 years. The project will be commissioned within a period of 18 months from the date of signing of PPA. The commissioning of the project is expected to reduce 90,993 tonnes of carbon emissions and will contribute in Government of Indias mission of net zero carbon emission by 2070. SJVN Ltd is a hydroelectric power generation company. The company is the largest operational hydroelectric power generation facility in India based on installed capacity, with an aggregate generation capacity of 1912 MW. On a consolidated basis, net profit of SNJV declined 43.60% to 235.46 crore on a 11.19% increase in net sales to Rs 549.14 crore in Q3 FY22 over Q3 FY21. Powered by Capital Market – Live News
