Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy locks deal worth Rs2,200 crore with NTPC; stock zooms ~3%

Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited emerged as the L-1 Bidder for the BOS Package. It comprises four (4) blocks of the proposed solar PV plant of NTPC Renewable Energy Limited.
The plant is situated at Khavda RE Power Park, Rann of Kutch, Gujarat, and has an annual capacity of ~1570 MW DC.

The company outlined that the total bid value, including O&M, for 3 years is estimated at Rs2,200 crore, including all taxes.

Further, the formal LOI and contract signing will take place in due course.

At around 10.00 AM, Sterling and Wilson Renewables was trading at Rs289.35, up by 3.01% against previous close of Rs280.90 on NSE. So far, it hit intraday high and low of Rs292 and Rs285.95 respectively.
