Here is the important stock market news to watch out for today.

• Markets to open on a negative note; support @17,600, resistance at 18,000.
• FIIs sold shares worth Rs575.04 crore (cash), and sold Rs16.51 crore in index futures.
• US markets close mixed on Friday. Asian markets trading in green with Japanese markets almost flat.
• Brent crude was trading 2.36% lower at $100.42 per barrel.
• The National Company Law Tribunal has approved the Resolution Plan submitted by Tata Steel Mining, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tata Steel, for the acquisition of Rohit Ferro-Tech.

• GTPL Hathway said its profit after tax for March 2022 quarter declined 4.3 per cent to Rs54.5 crore and revenue fell 17.5 per cent to Rs617.3 crore compared to the year-ago period largely due to fall in EPC project business, but its ex-EPC profit grew by 1 per cent and revenue rose by 4 per cent YoY during the quarter.
