The company stated that green power generated by the project would be used exclusively for their manufacturing facilities and other purposes, hence contributing to the creation of a sustainable and Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
A project of this magnitude can offer energy to 0.94 lakh homes while reducing CO2 emissions by 3.72 lakh tonnes per year, stated the company in its media reports.
Girish Tanti, Executive Vice Chairman of Suzlon Group, commented on the order victory, saying, “I am thrilled about the developing ‘Commercial and Industrial’ (C&I) customers group, which might potentially assist advance India’s National Renewable Energy ambitions.”
“Serving this market sector would enable us to collaborate with Indian industry and corporates on their energy transition journey, allowing them to become more internationally competitive while lowering their carbon impact,” he added.
Suzlon wind turbines generally have a domestic content of 70%-80% and are manufactured in the nation via a strong domestic value chain.
