Suzlon Group secures 100.80 MW wind energy project from Everrenew Energy; stock zooms ~3%

Suzlon Group said on Friday that Everrenew Energy has placed an order for a 100.8 MW wind power project. However, the value of the order was not disclosed by the company.

Suzlon will supply wind turbines and oversee the project’s implementation and commissioning in Tamil Nadu.

At around 11.52 AM, Suzlon Energy was trading 3.39% higher at Rs 18.30, against the previous close of Rs 17.70 on NSE.

The project underlines the installation of 48 wind turbine generators (WTGs) and is planned to be completed in March 2024.

A project of this size can supply electricity to 65,000 families while reducing CO2 emissions by 2.58 lakh tonnes per year.
