Suzlon Energy’s shares surged by 3 percent following the company’s win of a 100.8 MW wind power project order from a global utility company. The project, located in Gujarat, involves the installation of 32 wind turbine generators with a rated capacity of 3.15 MW each, part of Suzlon’s 3 MW series.
Suzlon will handle the entire project, including supply, supervision, commissioning, and post-commissioning operation and maintenance services. The Suzlon 3 MW series, tailored for the Indian wind regime, plays a crucial role in India’s journey towards carbon neutrality, according to Girish Tanti, Vice Chairman, Suzlon Group.
The project’s success is significant after Suzlon’s 3 MW – 3.15 MW wind turbine series received government approval last month, paving the way for commercialization. Suzlon Energy reported a net profit of Rs 102.29 crore in the September quarter, showcasing growth despite a slight dip in revenue to Rs 1,417 crore.
